The Academic Degree Office of the Education Department of Guizhou Province has reviewed the applications for provincial key disciplines and key discipline supported by the provincial government in end of August 2015. The discipline "Condensed Matter Physics" led by Professor Song Mousheng from the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering of Tongren University is included as one of the seven batches of provincial key disciplines, and construction fund of 200,000 yuan is granted.
The "Condensed Matter Physics" of Tongren University was appraised as the key discipline supported by the provincial government in 2009. After 6 years of construction, a number of key achievements have been made, and the expected goals have been achieved. In June 2015, the "Condensed Matter Physics", a key discipline supported by the provincial government, passed the legibility assessment of the Panel, and was recommended as a provincial key discipline.
The Academic Degree Office of Guizhou Province selected 12 provincial characteristic key disciplines of the fourth batch, and 12 provincial key disciplines of the seventh batch and 15 key disciplines supported by the provincial government of the fourth batch. The discipline "Applied Chemistry" led by Professor Shi Wei from the College of Material and Chemical Engineering of Tong Ren University and the "Pedagogy" led by Professor Hong Jun from the School of Education Science is appraised as one of the fourth batch of key disciplines supported by the provincial government.
