The Second China-Russia International Academic Forum is held in Russia and Belarus from June 7 to 14. Professor Pi Qiankun, the dean of the School of Social Development of Tongren University, has attended the meeting and delivered a key-note speech.
As for China, this Forum offers an opportunity to discuss the prospect of cooperation between China and Russia and Belarus given the globalization, facilitates further cooperation between and development of China and Russia and serves as a platform for exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Russian scholars. At the same time, the image of China has been greatly boosted at the Forum, and therefore it is substantially supported and highlighted by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
During the Forum, Professor Pi has in-depth discussion with Chinese and Russian scholars with respect to the concerned topics, and paid a field visit to understand the current situation of Russia and Belarus in terms of politics, economy and culture.
During the Moscow Conference period, Professor Pi communicates with the first vice president of Russian Communist Party, Mitri Novikov.
