Recently, the School of Data Science publicly rewards the students who have won prizes in the 2016 Mathematic Contest in Modeling and National Mathematic Contest for College Students in Mingli Building Classroom A205. Yan Baoping, dean of the School, and An Meng, vice dean, are present at the awarding ceremony.

In the 2016 Mathematic Contest in Modeling, 21 teams of Tongren University were sent to participate, and 18 have won prizes, including 1 national second prize, 2 provincial first prizes, 7 provincial second prizes, 4 provincial third prizes and 4 awards for successful participation. In the 2016 National Mathematic Contest for College Students, 26 students of different specialties have respectively won 1 provincial first prize, and 4 provincial third prizes in the professional group; and 2 provincial first prizes, 2 provincial second prizes and 14 provincial third prizes in the non-professional group.
