Recently, the Fifth National Outstanding Achievement Appraisal of Education and Scientific Research sponsored by the Ministry of Education. The paper titled Selection of School Running Positioning of Newly Founded Universities from Perspective of Applied Universities co-authored by Professor Hou Changlin, Professor Luo Jing and Associate Professor Ye Dan of Tongren University wins the third prize after fierce competition, and this is the first prize of this kind that the University has won.

The National Outstanding Achievement Appraisal of Education and Scientific Research is one of the 6 appraisal events of the Ministry of Education approved by the State Council and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and is held every 5 years. The awarded works should be only outstanding academic achievements that is related to the reality, and reflects innovation and shows breakthroughs in discipline system, academic views and research approaches.
