The 2017 Annual Work Meeting of President of Guizhou Education Press Agency (chief editor and editor in chief) is held at Guizhou Provincial Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. Zhang Huiping, director of the Editorial Office of the Journal of Tongren University attends the Meeting. At the Meeting, the basic information on the annual verification data of various press units, the ratings and the appraisal results in 2016 are announced. Among the 29 journals of colleges and universities in Guizhou, the Journal of Tongren University ranks the 6th place in 2016, and the first place among local colleges and universities.It is reported that the Journal of Tongren University was changed from a bimonthly to a monthly from 2017 on. Besides the original characteristic column named "the way of universities", new columns such as "principle exploration", "teaching innovation", and "vocational education forum" are added, so as to create "first-class discipline" column and facilitate construction of first-class disciplines of the University.
