On October 14th, the annual provincial "Merit Student", "Outstanding Student Cadres", "Advanced Class" review meeting of Tongren Unversity from 2012 to 2013 was organized by Ministry of science. The committee of the reviewing team composed of the heads from the Publicity Department, the Ministry of Science, the Communist Youth League, and the funding center. Vice Minister Liu Yukang hosted the meeting

In the meeting, Liu Yukang first emphasized the importance of the assessment, and went further on the selection conditions, evaluation principle, evaluation requirements . He pointed out that evaluation is an important way of the construction of style of study and an important opportunity to establish the typical outstanding students. Subsequently, the committee examined trial materials one by one with a serious attitude. Later, after secret ballot and other procedures, 17 students were named provincial "Merit Student", 6 students were awarded as the provincial "Outstanding Student Cadres", the class of Information Engineering was selected as the provincial advanced class of Tongren University in the academic year from 2012 to 2013.
