On the evening of April 26, Tongren University, Tongren Polytechnic College and Tongren Preschool Education College co-held the 1st original music and top ten singers contest in Tongren Polytechnic college auditorium. Vice minister Tuoying, the Communist Party propaganda department in Tongren, minister Tan Guangtao in Tongren university and leaders from Tongren Polytechnic College and Tongren Preschool Education College attended the contest.

There were 20 competitors and nearly 2000 teachers and students attending the contest. Total 9 experts, including Music Department head professor Cui Dehu, deputy secretary of general party banch Wu Xiaozhong, president of the Musicians Association of Tongren City Liu Hongying and music teachers were invited as the contest judges. The contest kicked off in music performance of Laos students. After the intense and exciting contention, seven competitors won the title of "Top Ten Singers". After the competition, Liu Hongying made a comment. Then leaders gave awards to the winners.
