On the afternoon of March 18, He Xianmei, chairman of the People's Congress of Dejiang County, and Zheng Gang, director general of the Education Bureau of Dejiang County, and other companions visit Tongren University to discuss details of establishment of Wujiang School of Agricultural and Forestry Economy with Tongren University. A meeting is held at the conference room of the Teaching Affairs Office. Vice President Tian Yongguo, Ye Dan, head of the Propaganda Department, Shu Hua, head of the Teaching Affairs Office, Deng Chongquan, vice dean of the College of Continuing Education, are all present at the meeting.

Tian Yongguo delivers a speech at the conference. Tian points out that the University attaches great importance to Wujiang School of Agricultural and Forestry Economy, and is now concentrating efforts on building of Wujiang School. The specific program has been submitted and it is expected that nearly 1,000 students will be admitted to the School. He adds that the purpose of the meeting is to implement the agreement between the government and the University, and get some information about the initial preparation of the School and discuss about the next steps.At the meeting, the attendants express their opinions freely and have had a heated discussion.
