On the morning of February 2, President Hou Changlin chairs the Forum on "Specialty Comprehensive Reform and Reform of Applied Talents Cultivation Mode" held at the conference room on the third floor. Officials of the second-level schools and the Teaching Affairs Office, Evaluation and Construction Office, Scientific Research Office and Propaganda Department are all present at the conference.

At the Forum, President Hou Changlin goes over the works done by the University in 2014 briefly. After that, the attendants have discussion surrounding the "Specialty Comprehensive Reform and Reform of Applied Talents Cultivation Mode", from perspectives such as teaching team building, course and teaching resource building, reform of teaching mode and methods, practical teaching steps and teaching management reform.

Deans of the second-level schools introduce the attendants to the active exploration and innovation made by the respective schools in specialty comprehensive reform and talent cultivation, and propose a number of constructive suggestions on reform of applied talent cultivation mode and pilot work of specialty comprehensive reform of the University, with several agreements achieved.Head of the Teaching Affairs Office gives an introduction to measures taken by the Office in 2015 with respect to the specialty comprehensive reform, innovation talent cultivation mode and education and teaching reform.

At last, President Hou Changlin delivers summary speech and goes over the specific deployment and arrangement for the following work.
