Recently, the Central Office of Education Department of Guizhou Province has announced the results of university website portal appraisal of 2014. The website portal of Tongren University ranks the 6th place among the 53 website portals of 53 universities and colleges in Guizhou.
In 2014, the Education Department appointed a third-party professional appraisal organization to appraise the website portals of the 53 higher education institutions, 28 senior middle schools and 29 secondary vocational schools in Guizhou Province while summarizing the appraisal of the website portal construction of schools in Guizhou Province in 2013. The construction of Tongren University's website portal is highly spoken of by the appraisal organization, and it ranks the sixth place among all higher education institutions in Guizhou Province.
The website portal of the University, as an important platform for education management, information exchange and external propaganda, plays a significant role in this era of Internet and information. In recent years, officials of the University have been paying close attention to the construction and management of the University's website portal, and a management organization of the website construction and an information publishing mechanism have been set up for this purpose. The website portal of the University is in the charge of the CPC Committee Propaganda Department, and co-managed by related administrative department and the second-tier schools. In 2014, the website portal of the University was included as the only one in Guizhou of the "top 100 university portals of China".
