In the morning of November 21st, the 36th sports meeting were held on the north campus. President Hou Changlin, vice secretary of party committee RaoXiaoHua and the deans of departments attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by RaoXiaoHua.

President Hou Changlin first made a speech and expected that the athletes should adhere to the Olympic spirit "higher, faster, stronger" and be full of enthusiasm; continuously surpass themselves and reveals the contemporary university students' positive spirit. He also required that the referee should work with high sense of responsibility and professional dedication.

The sports meeting were held in the north campus and the old campus at the same time including 31 projects, a total of 12 teams, more than 600 athletes. The games will last until 22.
