On the morning of June 15, the "China-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation Forum" as part of the Tenth China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, opens at Tongren University. More than 100 officials, experts and scholars from colleges and universities at home and abroad attend the Forum, and discuss the development path and explore the cooperation modes based on the forum theme "Co-building One Belt and One Road · Seeking Education Development", with the international and diversified development pattern of higher education taken into consideration.

Long Lihong, deputy mayor of the People's Government of Tongren, delivers a speech, and introduces the current situation of higher education business and basic information on Tongren. Li Shuxin, secretary of CPC Tongren University Committee, introduces the honored guests to the history of education internationalization of Tongren University. Chatief Koendjaja, president of Indonesia Mazhong University, wishes the Forum a great success; Rome Chiranukrom, vice president of Chiang Mai University, points out that the aim of China-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation Forum is to facilitate cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, and the cooperation in higher education plays a very important fundamental role.The representative of oversea students from Cambodia gives an introduction to living and studying of oversea students at Tongren University, and expresses his gratitude towards the dedicated cultivation efforts made by the University.

At the opening ceremony, Li Shuxin, secretary of CPC Tongren University Committee, and Chatief Koendjaja, president of Indonesia Mazhong University, sign the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities; Dai Liang, vice president of Tongren University, and Rome Chiranukrom, vice president of Chiang Mai University, also sign a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties; Dai Liang, vice president of Tongren University, and Anusorn Pongsawat, president of Darasamutr Srisacha School of Thai, sign a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties, and the latter is appointed as the "Oversea Practical Teaching Base of Tongren University".

After the opening ceremony, a round-table meeting for presidents of colleges and universities on "development trend of colleges and universities", the forum on development of higher education at home and abroad themed "study on higher education at home and abroad", and the China-ASEAN Talent Cultivation Cooperation Project Promoting Meeting are successively held.
