Since March 2015, China Association of College Newspaper has been carrying out collection and appraisal work of the "Good News of College Newspapers in China of 2014" nationwide. After appraisal of the Appraising Committee of Good News of College Newspapers in China, the work titled Wuling Daxue - the Expectation of Wuling People written by Tan Guangtao, submitted by the Propaganda Department of Tongren University wins the third prize of the communication category, and the work Third Edition, Volume 2 of Journal of Tongren University of 2014 edited by Guo Ming wins the third prize of the layout category.

The appraisal of "Good News of College Newspapers in China" is carried out once a year, and is hailed as the "China News Award" for college newspapers in China. The "Good News of College Newspapers in China" is deemed as the top prize for college newspapers in China. A total of 3,032 pieces of work submitted by 645 colleges and universities in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions have been submitted for appraisal.
