Recently, Doctor Chia L. Tan, a senior scientist of the USA San Diego Animal Protection Research Institute visits Tongren University and gives a lecture upon invitation by the School of Biology and Agricultural and Forestry Engineering. The lecture is given at the Academic Report Hall of the Main Campus. President Hou Changlin, and more than 150 teachers and students from the School of Biology and Agricultural and Forestry Engineering, the College of Material and Chemical Engineering and the School of Economics and Management are present to listen to the lecture.Before start of the lecture, the visiting professor appointment ceremony is held, over which President Hou Changlin issues the visiting professor appointment letter of Tongren University to Doctor Tan. Upon completion of the appointment, Doctor Tan gives an lecture to the audience titled Writing Made Easy, and shares his experience in writing.

After the lecture, Doctor Tan and teachers and students of Tongren University have discussion and communication about protection of bio-diversity. Doctor Niu Kefeng from the University of Turin is also present and has participated in the discussion.
