On December 29, the opening ceremony of 2015 Annual Meeting of Guizhou Higher Education Academy and Seminar on "Government, College and Society: Promoting Modernization of College and University Governing" is held at Class Room 206, Bosi Building of Tongren University. Scholars and experts from the colleges and universities of the entire province all meet here to discuss about academic affairs and seek for development opportunities. Liu Zhaojun, vice president of Guizhou Normal University and chairman of Guizhou Higher Education Academy, is present at the opening ceremony. Hou Changlin, president of Tongren University and Vice President Luo Hongfang are also present. Representatives from other colleges and universities in Guizhou and representatives of departments and schools of Tongren University also have witnessed opening of the Meeting.

The Annual Meeting includes 3 keynote speeches, including the speech delivered by Liu Zhaojun, vice president of Guizhou Normal University and chairman of Guizhou Higher Education Academy, titled Strategic Choice for Development of Universities in Guizhou Given the New Normal, the speech delivered by Zhang Shaohua, the associate librarian of the Library of Zunyi Normal University, titled Expediting Implementation of University Statues and Improving the College Governing Level, and the speech delivered by Ye Dan, head of the Propaganda Department of Tongren University, titled Exploration and Practice of Transformation Paths for Teaching Service-oriented Universities and Colleges.

After the keynote speeches, two sub-forums themed respectively "Dilemma and Outlet of Colleges and Universities When It Comes to Innovation Entrepreneurship Education" and "Thoughts on Modernized Governing of Higher Education' are held.

The Annual Meeting is brought to an end after the sub-forums.
