Recently, the Final of the "College Students Civilization Initiative" Speech Contest, as part of the "Eleventh Campus Culture Event Month for College Students" themed "diversified campus and brilliant youth", sponsored by the Education Department of Guizhou Province (Guizhou Provincial Education Work Commission), Guizhou Provincial Civilization Office and Guizhou Provincial Youth League Committee, and organized by Guizhou Normal University, is held at Baoshan Campus of Guizhou Normal University. Huang Ting and Xiao Yangmei, students of Tongren University are sent to participate in the Contest, and respectively win the third prize and the award of merit.

During the Contest, the two students deliver the speech prepared on their own without the script.Their speech length is controlled properly, and their speech themes are distinct, expressions accurate, and language fluent with full emotions, and are therefore well received by the audience and judges.
