Recently, led by Ye Feng, director of Tongren Foreign and Oversea Affairs Office, Hu Hui, director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Zhou Dan from the Foreign Affairs Office of Tongren Polytechnic College, visit the consulate-generals of Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Laos in Kunming to negotiate college exchange and cooperation affairs.
The delegation is warmly received by Suoke Lading, consul general of Consulate General of Cambodia in Kunming, Deng Ding, consul general of Consulate General of Myanmar in Kunming, Chen Meixiang, consul in charge of education, cooperation and exchange of the Consulate General of Thailand in Kunming, and Pongdong Paxaphacdy, consul general of Consulate General of Laos in Kunming.
During negotiation, the representative of Tongren University explains the specialty setting, oversea student enrollment and international cooperative school running efforts made by the University to the consuls, and discuss with them about the admission conditions, study fund and course setting.
The visit helps enhance understanding of colleges and universities in ASEAN countries, consolidate the source base of oversea students, and promote international exchange and cooperation.
