Recently, a delegation led by Huang Yirui, consul-general of Malaysia in Nanning, and Liu Rong, director of Overseas Affairs Office of University of Malaya, visit Tongren University for education exchange. A special lecture is delivered at the library. Yang Zhongfei, dean of the College of Continuing Education, Hu Hui, director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Zhao Kun, the deputy director, and more than 100 students from various schools and departments are present to listen to the lecture.
In his lecture, Huang points out that the economy is Malaysia is different from that of Indonesia and the Philippines, and Malaysia is an economy in Southeast Asia that is only second to Singapore, with citizens having a very high moral standard, simple customs and a smiling face. Liu Rong gives a detailed introduction to the University of Malaya and the Northern University of Malaysia, and explains their respective advantages. Liu adds that the universities in Malaysia are open to Tongren University students who want to be exchange students for one semester, pursue the master's degree, or have other forms and levels of exchange.
At the end of the lecture, the College of Continuing Education hands out brochures of the universities of Malaysia to the students and the Office of International Affairs announces the consulting method for study abroad.
