Tongren University is located in Tongren City, Guizhou Province, known as the "capital of Wuling, the city of benevolence and righteousness." It is a high-level university participating in the national "13th Five-Year Plan" project for integrated development of industry and education, a recipient of the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award for Outstanding Schools, a participant in the Ministry of Education's program to enhance scientific work capabilities, one of the first batch of universities in Guizhou Province to transform into application-oriented development, a national base for ethnic unity and progress education, and a demonstration benchmark university for comprehensive student cultivation in Guizhou Province. 学校办学起源于1920年创办的明德学校，几经传承演进，2006年升格为本科院校。2010年通过学士学位授予单位评估；2013年通过本科教学工作合格评估；2020年增列为硕士学位授予单位，实现办学层次的跃升，开启了高质量发展的崭新篇章。

The university originated from the Mingde  School founded in  1920,and  later  it upgraded to  an undergraduate  college  in  2006.  It passed the bachelor degree awarding unit assessment in 2010 and the undergraduate teaching  qualification  assessment  in  2013.  In  2020,  it  was  added  as  a  master  degree  awarding  unit, achieving a leap in school-running level and opening a new chapter of high-quality development.

学校坚持国际化办学战略，积极开展国际交流合作。至今，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养高级工程技术人才和管理人才1568人次；与柬埔寨教育部、老挝琅南塔省教育厅、老挝沙湾那吉省教育厅、万象省教育厅共建“人才培养基地 ”； 先后与美国 、英国 、意大利、 韩国 、 泰国、柬 埔寨 、 老挝 、马来西亚、印度尼西亚等国（境）外85所高校和教育机构建立友好合作关系，并选派师生赴国（境）外交流访学；重点推进“ 一 带一路”教育国际合作，围绕优势学科在泰国、老挝 、柬埔寨国家建立海外实习实训基地达10个；建立集学术研究、人才培养、政策咨询为 一体的老挝国别研究机构即“老挝研究中心”；与意大利马尔凯理工大学合作举办土木工程专业。

The university adheres to the strategy of internationalized education and actively engages in international exchange and cooperation. To date, it has trained 1,568 senior engineering and management talents from countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. It has established "talent training bases" in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Cambodia, the Education Department of Louang Namtha Province in Laos, the Education Department of Savannakhet Province in Laos, and the Education Department of Vientiane Province in Laos. It has also established friendly cooperation relationships with 85 overseas universities and educational institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries, and has sent teachers and students to exchange and study abroad. It focuses on promoting educational international cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative, establishing 10 overseas internship and training bases in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia for key disciplines. It has established the Lao Research Center, an institution integrating academic research, talent training, and policy consulting, and cooperates with the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Italy to offer civil engineering programs.

学校现有在校生8378人，教职工933人，博士214人，硕士324人；正高级职称153人（二级教授2人，三级教授23人）；博士生导师2人、校内研究生导师131人，校外兼职硕导112人；“双师双能型”教师357人。国务院政府特殊津贴专家1人，省管专家5人，省政府特殊津贴专家2人。

The school currently has 8,378 students, 933 faculty and staff, including 214 PhD holders, 324 master's degree holders; there are 153 senior titles (1 second-level professor, 25 third-level professors); 2 doctoral supervisors, 131 on-campus master's supervisors, and 112 part-time master's supervisors outside the school; there are 357 "dual-qualified" teachers. There is 1 expert receiving special government allowances from the State Council, 5 provincial-level experts, and 2 experts receiving special government allowances from the provincial government.

  一、本科生奖学金

（I）Undergraduate scholarship

HSK6、HSK5或HSK4≧240分的学生，可申请铜仁学院校长奖学金(海外合作院校和优秀校友 推荐优先）。

Students passed HSK6, HSK5 or HSK4 (for HSK4, the score shall be≧ 240 points) will be awarded the President Scholarship of Tongren University.

  二、汉语进修生奖学金

（II）Chinese Language Learner Scholarship

为优秀国际学生提供铜仁学院校长奖学金，海外合作院校和优秀校友推荐优先。

President Scholarship of Tongren University is provided to outstanding international students, with priority given to recommendations from overseas partner institutions and outstanding alumni .

高中毕业或具有同等学历学生，身心健康，品行良好，无犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律和 学校的规章制度，尊重中国人民的风俗习惯的非中国籍公民。年龄不超过30周岁（年龄计算 以截止至2025年7月15日为准），未满18周岁的申请者需提供监护证明。

Applicants must have graduated from high school or possess an equivalent qualification, be physical - ly and mentally healthy, have good conduct, have no criminal record, abide by the laws of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the  school, respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people, be non-Chinese citizens, and be under 30 years old (age calculated as of July  15, 2025). Appli - cants under the age of 18 must provide guardianship certificates .

持有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至入学年度的4 月30日 前）之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。

Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years, and have a record of residing outside their home country for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (up to April 30th of the year of enrollment). Actual residence in a foreign country for a minimum of 9 months within a year can be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps.

2.护照复印件。

普通护照个人信息页，曾来过中国大陆境内的申请人还需提供近3次出入中国境内的签证页或居留许可页；

Copy of passport.

Applicants need to provide the personal information page of their ordinary passport. Addi - tionally, applicants who have previously visited mainland China need to provide the visa pages or residence permit pages for their three most recent entries into and exits from mainland China .

3.最高学历证书。

须为原件或公证件，中、英文以外文本还需提供经过证的翻译件，应届高中毕业生提交本人所在学校出具的预计毕业证明原件；

Highest education certificate (original or notarized copy) .

A notarized translation of the certificate is required if the original document is not in Chi - nese or English. Applicants who currently in the final year of secondary school must submit the original certificate of expected graduation issued by the school;

4.最高学历教育阶段全部课程的成绩单。

须为原件或公证件，中、英文以外文本还需提供经过公证的翻译件；

Official academic transcripts of all courses taken during the highest education (original or notarized copy) .

A notarized translation of the transcripts is required if the original documents are not in Chinese or English;

5.汉语水平考试四级以上证书、成绩单的复印件（学历生提供）；

Copies of HSK Chinese Proficiency Test certificate (Level 4 or above) and score report (required for applicants to degree programs);

6.至2025年8月30日前未满18周岁的申请人，需提交监护人有效证件及保证书，监护人应为其父母委托在中国境内常住的外国人或者中国人；

Applicants under  18 years of age as at  August 30, 2025 are required to submit a valid ID of his/her guardian and Guardianship Letter. The guardian shall be a Chinese citizen or for-eign permanent resident in China authorized by the applicant's parents;

7.从中国大陆（内地）及港澳台地区移民外国并加入外国国籍的申请人，需提交入籍证明、 近4年（2021年8月30日至2025年8月30日）的护照出入境记录复印件或国外实际居住2年以上的 证明；

Applicants  who  have  emigrated  from  the  Chinese  mainland,  Hong  Kong,  Macao  and Taiwan  and  acquired  a  foreign nationality must  submit the  Certificate  of Naturalization  and  a copy of passport pages with entry and exit stamps for the last four years (from August 30, 2021 to August 30, 2025) or proof of 2-year and above actual residence in a foreign country for the last four years;
